Current & On Demand Education
Every day brings new questions and liability for those managing and working in a medical practice. Prescribing controlled medications, violence in the workplace, technology — the list goes on and on. There are many things that you have to deal with daily, and your time is valuable. Are you ready to get the answers you need to lighten the load and bring some shine to your practice?
Make plans now to attend MACM’s 2018 Risk Management Office Staff Program where we will present a treasure trove of information to help you manage the uncertainty that is today’s healthcare.
To help you navigate the PMP, MACM has an online program for our insureds and anyone else in their practice that may be interested. This program is presented by Dana Crenshaw, AHFI, CFS, Director of the Prescription Monitoring Program/Mississippi Board of Pharmacy, and Judy Cleveland, BSN, RN, Senior Risk Management Consultant at MACM.
Through this online course, you will learn the types of information accessible through the PMP, guidelines for best utilization of the PMP, and how to address some of the most prevalent risk management issues that often go hand in hand with prescribing controlled substances.
This program awards 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM which is applicable to the MSBML CME requirement for prescribing controlled substances.

You’ve heard people talk about it. You know MACM provides you with cyber coverage. But, do you really understand what a cyberattack would do to your clinic? A cyberattack can temporarily shut down your practice and cost thousands of dollars in time, notifications, and expenses. No matter how big your practice is – from solo to multi-specialty – it can happen to you! Plan to attend a meeting for an update regarding your cyber coverage and the risks associated with an attack.
